Billy and The Jets — Atlanta’s Billy Joel & Elton John Tribute Band
Billy and The Jets is a five-piece Billy Joel and Elton John tribute band based in Acworth, Georgia — Cobb County, just north of Atlanta. Founded in 2025 by vocalist and pianist Paul Hand and bassist TJ Jones, the band performs two full sets in one night, one for each legend, at theaters, taverns, festivals and private events across metro Atlanta, Georgia and the Southeast.
The show is built on the piano-driven sound and the vocal range both catalogs demand. From “Piano Man” to “Rocket Man,” “Uptown Girl” to “Crocodile Rock” — these are the songs that fill a dance floor across three generations, played live by five musicians on piano, guitar, bass, drums and saxophone, with the attention to detail devoted fans notice and casual listeners simply feel.
How the Band Came Together
The production was conceived in Georgia by Paul Hand and TJ Jones. Paul brings the vocal ability, the piano playing and the artistic vision; TJ brings bass along with a career in production, audio and visual design for immersive performance. Together they built the foundation of the show.
To complete the lineup they brought in Val Allen Wood on guitar, Mike Francoeur on drums and Will Smith on saxophone — each an accomplished player with real stage presence. Five musicians, two songbooks, one night.
Where We Play
Billy and The Jets has been performing since spring 2025 and plays venues throughout Georgia, including Roswell Junction in Roswell, Sixes Tavern in Cartersville, The Garden in Griffin, Napoleon’s in Decatur, the Dallas Theater in Dallas, Georgia, and the Mars Theater in Springfield. The band is based in the Atlanta metro, in the Acworth, Kennesaw, Marietta, Woodstock and Canton corridor north of the city.
The band also tours well beyond Georgia, working up and down the East Coast and across the Southeast. Billy and The Jets has played North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, New York and a full Florida run — with more Florida dates booked for January 2027, a return to South Carolina in the works, and an Ohio date at the Majestic Theatre in Chillicothe this October.
Closer to home, the band also plays private events across Cobb County and the north Atlanta suburbs, with the same two-set show scaled to the room.
Every show is built to be more than a concert — iconic songs, real storytelling and showmanship that keeps a room on its feet. It is a night that lands long after the final encore, and it is why audiences come back.
